My Private Lose Belly Project

Man Woman

Over the years I have seen that my weight has increased, and my belly has grown significantly. More than once I have worried about how to lose belly fat in a way that would last. A couple of months ago I decided to take some action. I found a promising way to lose belly fat and then I started my Lose Belly project.

From being a relatively fit young man in my early twenties, active in different kinds of sport, my lifestyle now, at the age of 44, has become not so active anymore.

The number one problem for me has been the motivation part. I quite often started something to get into shape, but the real results didn’t show up and my motivation suffered, became low and eventually I always stopped to exercise. I did lots of exercises to lose belly fat. I tried going to fitness centres for several years, tried running, swimming and football to mention a few activities. But my belly fat was hard to get rid of. Actually, I felt I spent too much time on training activities compared to the results I achieved.

Several times I tried to eat even healthier than I already did, in the same periods as I did some kind of training activities, but with just minor results it was hard to stay motivated. My belly continued to grow, and so did my weight as well.

When I defined my Lose Belly project, I hade become aware of the Truth About Abs program. I was so happy and excited to get my hands on it, and started to apply it right away. I was determined that my Lose Belly project should be a success. Actually the Lose Belly project is just what I call it, all the things I am DOING now is from the Truth About Abs program. However, the amazing thing was that I've got results that I haven't experienced in any of my previous efforts to become fit. By now, two months since I started, I am down 12 pounds of weight, to 186 pounds, and most important, my waistline has decreased by 5 inches. In addition I feel stronger and more fit than two months back, and my motivation has definitely got the needed fuel. My personal Lose Belly project is really doing well, and I can't wait to continue this program and see where this ends.

Mike Geary in one of his favorite activities

By now, I use less time doing exercises than ever before in my active training periods. I do my workouts at home, have shorter workouts and have learnt that more is not always better. And the food I eat has become a lot more fun to prepare and eat, because now I know the why about the dos and don'ts.

Truth About Abs program is an ebook on 117 pages. The author is Mike Geary (as on the picture in a deadlift exercise), a fitness expert for many years who has taught thousands upon thousands of people around the world about fitness. The ebook is quite comprehensive, and soon I got an in-depth understanding of how training should be carried out. It is so much easier to motivate myself to do exercises when I have the knowlegde of the how’s and why’s. It covers in great details how to develop your abdominals in safe and effective ways, including how to position yourself and different parts of the body when you exercise to achieve optimal results. However, keep in mind that isolated focus on your abdominals is just a small part of the ebook. My personal Lose Belly project actually has had more benefit from the total body workouts explained to great detail in the ebook, not to say the benefits of the nutrition section.

I have learned a lot of new exercises to lose belly fat that I never have seen before. All of them well explained both in wordings and by use of pictures. The Truth About Abs also explains about the metabolic effect of training, and how to maximize it. It dives into different workout schemes, how each workout is built up and explains how the workouts should be carried out. I really like the way workouts are outlined from beginners level trough intermediate to advanced level. It also describes several training alternatives on each level, and the outlined step by step processes really give you something to reach for in your progress to eventually get a lean body.

A major part of the ebook is the nutrition section. Except from explaining which food you should eat and not, and why, there is a great list of day to day meals that will help you with eating healthy, from the morning breakfast to the late night snack. It gets so easy when you just can take a printout of the list and go shopping. The nutrition section has really helped me out, and is just as important as the other parts of the ebook.

The Truth About Abs is NOT about taking pills or drugs that magically should give you a fit body, and maybe damage your health as a side effect. Neither is it about miraculous machines, ab rockers or anything like this. To my satisfaction Mike Geary states a clear distance to this kind of unrealistic quick fix solutions.

If I should say anything about improvement areas of this ebook, I would have appreciated some good video lessons on the exercises. That would have made the learning even easier. Of course this cannot be accomplished in an ebook, however maybe there could be other solutions for this.

Another issue is that I would have preferred a physical book, rather than the electronic version. However, I have compromised this by doing a printout of the ebook.

Anyway, the Lose Belly project has become a big focus for me now. It doesn't take more time compared to earlier training efforts I have done, and I really enjoy watching the mirror, and not to say the weight scale. A positive side effect for me has been the mental side also. I feel less stress, can stay consentrated and focussed much longer, have more mental capasity and I sleep very well at night.

I really appreciate the Truth About Abs ebook, but most important, I LOVE the results!

All the best,

- Johnny
