Drink More Water

Most people drink too little water. As water is a major part of our bodies, it is important to your health to keep our water consumption at a sound level. Drinking sufficient water can have great effects on weight loss as well.

Below is a list of 12 good advices on why you should drink more water.

1. Water reduces headache and laxity. Our bodies consist of 70% water. If we lose 1% of it, we could risk up to 10% loss of performance.

2. Drinking water makes it easier to get rid of waste from your body. This will give you a healthier body and you will feel better.

3. Water has ZERO calories. If you are a heavy soda consumer and substitute 2 bottles of soda each day with water, you could lose a pound a week only by doing this.

4. Drink more in hot weather and during and after training. When you have a higher physical activity it is important to add extra fluidity.

5. Water regulates your body temperature, and increases your metabolism. By drinking ice cold water, your body will use even more energy consuming this, which will have a positive effect on weight loss.

6. Use a time schedule throughout the day for drinking water. By doing this you will be ahead of your thirstiness, and keep your body's water level well balanced.

7. Dependent of your activity level and body mass, an adult body will need about 2.5 litres of fluid a day. Make sure that about 1.5 to 2 litres of it is water. The rest will come from food and other fluidity.

8. Water contributes to maintaining your blood volume during physical activity, and increases your ability to take up oxygen.

9. Water is cheap or absolutely free for most people.

10. Water suppresses appetite and hunger. It is a good idea to drink a glass of water just before you eat, as this will help you not to overeat at this particular meal.

11. Water is good for your skin as the humidity keeps your skin smooth. You may say it makes you look younger...

12. Water strengthens your body's chemical processes, and repairs, maintains and renews the cells.

As with most good things in life, more isn't always better. Avoid excessive water consumption, as this could cause serious health damage. However, if you keep the amount of water you drink within the recommendations above, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
